the 2016 Private UniversityResearch Branding Project of MEXT OUTLINE ALL MOVIE RITSUMEIKAN UNIVERSITY R-GIRO INDUSTRY-UNIVERSITY COOPERATION JP EN OUTLINE ALL MOVIE RITSUMEIKAN UNIVERSITY R-GIRO INDUSTRY-UNIVERSITY COOPERATION JP EN INTRODUCTION Development of a new sustainable model for aged Japanese society with Ritsumeikan livelihood support sciences Since the research of Ritsumeikan University was adopted in the 2016 Private University Research Branding Project of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT), we have been challenging four research projects on "human diversity", "robot", "electrical device" and "sports", to achieve our goal of "extension of healthy lifespan of the elderly". These researches will hopefully result in building a new society where all people from children to the elderly can spend their healthy, prosperous, and happy lifetimes. This “Japanese model" will contribute to solve the demographic issues of the foreign countries that will follow the same avenues as Japan in the near future.
